Post title: REDUCING ANXIETY AND PROCEDURAL PAIN IN BURN PATIENTS USING VIRTUAL REALITY: POSSIBILITIES AND LIMITS
This paper aims to inform the professional audience about the results of applied research focused on the use of virtual reality in the management of procedural pain in patients with burn trauma. The main research question is whether and to what extent the use of immersive virtual reality environments contributes to pain and anxiety management in these patients. Through the interdisciplinary team involved in the project, the main elements incorporated in the development of the virtual reality application will be presented, as well as the limitations in the context of data collection and evaluation.
